In order to tame Mahoraga, all you really need to do is tame Piercing Ox and Nue. Use Well’s Unknown Abyss to fuse the two together (or Totality depending on how it works). This will give the bull wings, so it can then fly up high into the atmosphere. Have it fly straight down to where you plan to summon Mahoraga and just kill Mahoraga in one hit. Well’s Unknown Abyss makes the Shikigami weaker, but you can compensate for this by having it just fly even higher up

I feel like we don’t actually know how powerful the deer and bull are on their own.
We see them used against Yorozu (who should outscale Uro and Ryu since she beat the 5 Void Generals) but that’s not a good indicator since she’s extremely powerful.
And then we know that they’re fodder to Gojo. But that’s Gojo.
I wouldn’t hold it against Megumi tbh

I think Maho would recognize the strat and dodge lol.
And i don't think killing maho right as he's being summoned would really count. It's like in games, when you spawn in, you usually have some invincibility frames. Otherwise, what was stopping Megumi from summoning any of the summons and fucking Glocking them right in the head as they were spawning in? Was he stupid?
