Let’s also not pretend that his series isnt essentially a foundational pillar of shonen jump’s business at this point.

One Piece is a nice recurring source of revenue they don’t want to lose.

Doubt he’d be able to end it quickly even if he wanted
True, from what I heard MHA and JJK are all ending soon so once there's no One Piece... it's going to be rough for Shonen jump.
Still, there's a possibility that Oda rushes the final saga due to health concern. He'll be 50 next year.

Ngl Toriyama and Mirua had me concerned for Oda, and this isn't helping :
One PIece might have been over by now and Oda would be able to chill if he didn't have this habit of introducing and focusing on 150 irrelevant side characters every arc.
I will stand my ground that Dressrosa had no business being 100 chapters long when it was just another arc of Luffy beating a warlord and we never needed to have NINE scabbards.
Some fans still think It was a good thing for those arcs to be dragged
They still wish Oda drags arcs

But they pretend "we care about Oda's health. He should rest '
The guy is diabetic and doesn't sleep a lot. He also has to cherish time with his family

Fans should pressure Oda to stop wasting panels and chapters on irrelevant/minor things

Ons piece would have been done by now if DR ,WCI and Wano weren't dragged

The thing with One Piece is that it’s something jump can put on their earnings report and show investors “hey, no matter what happens we’ve got consistent revenue from one piece!”

I don’t think they would let Oda end it quickly even if he wanted to and even if his health was on the line.

I blame his post-timeskip editors.
A good editor's job is also to put a stop to the unecessary stuff.
The thing is that One Piece became extremely popular right before the timeskip, and the series was basically too big to fall so they had young & newbie editors that are One Piece fanboys to oversee Oda and were unable to reject any of his ideas.

and dressrosa was already a merged double arc…
