Yes you are wrong since we have in the onepiece verse people seeing temporary black bladed made black by haki you goofy.

Which means inverse Haki hardening is indeed visible lol.

If people on average always see that (which you also stated) then there is no logically reason why they haven't seem the black lightning as well lol.

The reason why they didn't mention black lighting in that same scene with rodger and whitebeard is EQUALLY the same reason why they didn't mention both of their blades becoming temporarily black.
