I really hope Elbaf tackles Akainu, only because Oda has the potential to really dive into the whole "Giant Squad being kidnapped and sold Giant children to the WG" angle lol.

But yeah, while they make for some good scale and wow factor in doublespreads, Im not too hyped on what they can offer to the current endgame lineup lol

Tbh that’s just feat scaling in general. We’ve been told for years that Elbaf has the strongest military might in the verse and that the giants are regularly seen as the strongest race. Hell, Dory and Brogy have been called living legends a few times now.

Oda writes his manga thinking “this scene was decades ago, surely no one gives a shit about the power level back then” and focuses on just boosting portrayal without feats to match it.

Cause he is obsessed with building up side characters then throwing them to the side to do nothing at the last second so it makes every arc seem like a whole time waste rush cause there is never a thought out structure
