It's not fair. I wanna be a fan of a character who really struggles in all his fights, someone who doesn't absolutely destroy his haters everytime we see him.
So I'm retiring from being a Zoro fan and becoming a full time Sanji/Luffy fan.

Luffy fights are more interesting to me, Zoros fights end in one shots. And they dont last long.

Zoro was serious and bloolusted in that instance already, he said so himself. He gave it all he had. Why do you think Zoro wasnt serious when he attacked Kaido to prevent him from killing his captain? Zoro was wearing bandana so he was super serious.

fine, you expected more from this fight (I can understand taht) I never expect anything from this fight cuz was a a stall device to take out Zori from the main plot that happen with Bonney/Kuma and after that with Luffy&Giants vs Elders
Loda didnt know what to do with Zori in eggisland that is clear from the getgo. Zori was just to strong to let him around the main cast

So now we're going to go into the detail of whether it "connected" or not. Bro got blown away and was blocking it. And was still awake to tell Mars all of the info. It's over. The only thing Lucci was doing was "huff huff". If that's what an ACoC named attack does, then yikes. The next 3 weeks will be tough if one is a Zolotard.
