Has there been any mention for why luffy is still considered 19? Wasn’t the first part of one piece 1 year? Plus 2 years he should be turning 20 soon.
Just wondering if anybody knows why this hasn’t been mentioned or if oda specifically mentioned something in regards to this.

Imagine meeting people and hanging out for a few months then suddenly deciding heyyy let's all go train for 2 years and meet back up, again.

Yeah nobody irl would even show up. That's a big commitment for people who have only spent a few months together.

4th great ninja War arc took place in 4 days. The entirety of Bleach before fullbring arc was 4 months. 3 months for monster of the week. Soul society was 1 month (2 week recovering, 1 week training, 1 week actual battles) Hueco Mundo and Fake Karakura town arc was 1 day total. Fullbring arc took 5 days etc. TYBW took. 9 days and the final battle was 2 days. Namek saga takes 6 days. The chunin exams takes a month but the actual testing parts are actually just a couple hours etc. it’s just shonen logic
