Nah. Nika is the first free spirit, who was called a god in legends. Then some nobody must've wished to be like Nika, and his wish spawned the Sun God DF aka Nika Nika. This nobody was Joy Boy. He had a lot of good intentions, but still felt short of his promises. Next comes Luffy, with the same free spirit as Nika, with the Sun God fruit, and surrounded by the right people allowing him to fulfill Joy Boy's promises.
It's a three-step process: one brings the power, one the plan, and one joins powers and plan together for world-changing results.

So we might get two separate flashback arcs then? One for Joy Boy and one for Nika? :shocked:
