Anime & Manga Titty Kubo Has Defeated Lee (Remembering the Fallen)

That just sounds like Kubo unrealistically playing favourites. Kenpachi unwittingly sees Aizen's Shikai, all his senses are now manipulated by Aizen. There is no logical way for Kenpachi to win here unless Titty just arbitrarily decides that muscles can beat something stupid busted like, I don't know, reality warping. :milaugh:
Kenny doesnt swing his sword; his sword swings itself, through Kenny. And swords dont have senses to manipulate :myman:

Gremmy man. :suresure:

Quite possibly. The Arrancar Arc didn't have as many highs as the other two long arcs while having some serious lows. It is also the longest by a country mile and atrociously paced to boot.

Aizen is built up over two long arcs just to be a nonsensical little bitch at the end. At least Yhwach was a one arc wonder.
Would’ve been interesting if they did match up but the data book thing (iirc) doesn’t add up since Aizen is like the worst match up for Kenpachi even when considering their EoS versions. Kenpachi’s power at the time fluctuated and adapted to his opponent but there’s no reason to believe he would have adapted quickly enough to Aizen and even if he did Aizen would adapt and go higher than Kenpachi’s limits via the Hogyoku any way, and that’s assuming he doesn’t deploy his shikai from the start.

Yeah contrary to popular opinion Yhwach wasn’t that bad he was more so a victim to Kubo at the end and now the anime is actually portraying him better.

Unohana didn’t face Aizen for similar reasons even tho she was like right there, tho with her it made sense the reader wasn’t really aware of the twist that was coming down the line.

I recall my main problems with manga Yhwach being:
I) Unanswered questions regarding his past that were brought up and never answered (his relationship with Yamamoto, his relationship with the Soul King etc.)

II) His inconsistent goals (he went from wanting to destroy the Soul King and by extension reality, to wanting to rule as the Soul King by absorbing part of his essence to wanting to merge the realms of death and life, none of which haf any build up).

III) His Almighty bullshittery. Kubo needed three slaps from an editor to hammer home how nonsensical this power is. It is utterly broken beyond repair and never should have been put to ink.

Though since I don't recall Yhwach ever uttering the accursed words "I knew you were going to do that!" then I still consider him twice as good as Aizen.

Yhwach when things go wrong: "Time to deal with this myself then..."

Aizen when things go wrong: "I aLrEaDy knEw yOu wErE goInG tO Do tHaT!!!" :cr7:

The ending was a trainwreck with him lol but he’s better than Aizen in that regard. He did have similar lines like “I knew you were going to do that” but in his case he actually knew lol.

It’s also funny how the two biggest villains in the series have beyond broken abilities that Ichigo has no answer for, Kyoraku Suigetsu Aizen never used on Ichigo and there’s lowkey no reason why he shouldn’t have. And Ichigo of course had no answer for Yhwach’s future manipulation. Beyond Ichigo being shallow as a character in comparison to his Shonen counterparts man was probably even more shallow when it came to his abilities, he had like one move and Kubo never bothered to make something out of the amalgamation of different races Ichigo had in his blood to counteract the hax, in fact Yhwach even took his powers from him in the end lmao. We still don’t know what his Bankai could do. I remember fans coming up with all sorts of creative theories. Kubo wrote himself to a corner, even the plot arrow wasn’t enough for Yhwach lol.

TYBW Arc was just a train wreck in general after Ichigo's training montage. The biggest thing was just the utterly insane abilities being thrown out by Kubo and mothersuckers refusing to die:

I)The reality warper being beaten by muscles.

II) Kurotsuchi inventing a drug that manipulates time itself.

III) Lille Barro turning into a spirit bird, equine, chimaera thing that needs minor tertiary character Nanao to whip out a ridiculous cursed family heirloom mirror sword hidden by the daughter of Shunsui's zanpakuto sword, a mirror sword that seemingly would only work against Barro basically. It then doesn't kill Barro anyway and then Izuru is resurrected as a cyborg to kill Barro off screen. Kubo really should have just had Shunsui beat this guy for good. This fight is proof that the publishers were right to force Kubo to finish. Lol.

IV) Gerard. Just Gerard. It literally took Yhwach deciding to eat him to allow the good guys to win.

V) Those two Vizards surviving being imagined dead by the reality warper, turned into zombies by Zombie Hoe the Quincy and turned into different zombies by Kurotsuchi. Literally dead three times over and still alive.

VI) Love Guru the Quincy and his stupid Cupid powers.

VII) That JoJo looking Quincy that was part of Yhwach's Guard, the one that fought Urahara. I could never understand what his power was meant to be.

VIII) That bookworm Fullbringer's power being retconned from memory manipulation to full on timeline altering powers just so Ichigo could get his sword back.

IX) Again, Yhwach's Almighty bullshittery. Lol. These are the ones I remember off the top of my head.

I swear that the villains are the actual protagonists of Bleach cause nothing in the story would move without them. Ichigo has zero plot agency. Lol.

So you already know that he's a good guy. Fair enough.

Thing is, he waits so long until the last minute to reveal this that when I first read this manga, I actually thought him being secretly good was a red herring and that he was actually genuinely loyal to Aizen the whole time. Literally four pages after that thought of mine, he skewers Aizen.

Did it ever occur to Gin to snitch on Aizen at some point over the past century? No.

Did he skewer Aizen when he was completely surrounded by the Shinigami at the climax of the Soul Society Arc? No.

Did he skewer Aizen during the latter's 12v1 fight against most of the Shinigami Captains + Vizards? No.

Did he skewer Aizen while he was fighting Yamamoto? No.

Did he kill Wonderweiss to allow Yamamoto to focus on Aizen? No.

Did he skewer Aizen while he was fighting Isshin, Urahara and Yoruichi? No, he actually fought Ichigo and prevented him from getting to Aizen while he was fighting in a 3v1 disadvantage.

No, he doesn't do any of that. He stabs Aizen after the latter has fused with the Hōgyoku (nonsense plot mcguffin that makes Aizen a god or something), after Aizen has already won and beaten literally everybody.

How was Gin able to skewer him? Because he knew how to bypass Aizen's utterly hax Shikai ability that allows him to control all the senses of anybody and everybody who so much as looks at his Zanpakutō sword.

How did Gin figure out how to bypass Aizen's trump card ability?

Now here is the best part.

You ready?

He didn't figure it out. :risicheck:

Aizen feckin told him how to bypass it in a flashback. :rolaugh:

Aizen, the oh so smart, ultra giga brained mastermind manipulator known for his paranoia and his disdain for any concept so much as resembling trust or friendship, told Gin how to bypass his sensory manipulation ability. :shame:

You wanna know what Aizen says after his magic plot mcguffin ability near instantly revives him? :saden:

"I already knew all along that you were going to betray me Gin!" :smart:

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. :ihaha:

He informed the bloke that he supposedly knew wanted to kill him, on how to bypass his greatest ability. :yodaswag:

The smartest man in the manga folk. It didn't occur to Aizen to just lie to Gin and it didn't occur to Gin that Aizen could just simply lie.

These are what Titty Kubo thinks are intelligent, scheming characters. :risitameh:
Critiquing kubo’s writing is like grading creative writing from a special Ed class.

I haven’t read this thread but another funny thing to point out is that kubo had this one-sided feud with Oda for several years. I used to and still think it’s mostly jealousy but where my opinion has shifted a bit is realizing that Oda actually retcons about as frequently as kubo did. He’s just better about covering his tracks.

Kubo got frustrated at the amount of hate he got from the fanbase for his inconsistent writing while Oda has largely been hailed as a genius.

As a fellow mangaka, kubo likely saw through Oda’s writing and was left bitter about the double standard.

@Lee Ba Shou the Kingdom Spoiler thread just made me remember when I did a joke post about Kubo writing Wano Arc. You cannot appreciate enough the amount of Tittiness you missed by not reading Thousand Year Blood War Arc. :ihaha:
The writing is far worse, like how do I put this? :quest:

Imagine if Kaido was not only 100% the strongest physical Top Tier in the verse but also had a devil fruit ability that would allow him to pretty much take on every other Top Tier single handedly. An ability so broken, that no other hax abilities can work on or even touch him. Not even in-verse reality warpers can do anything to him.

Not only that but he has CoO so good that he can simultaneously see every single possible future at once with no downsides and the aforementioned devil fruit ability allows to reach into the future and manipulate events before they even happen.

Not only that but Kaido also has a bunch of insanely strong subordinates with absolutely bullshit abilities that break the verse. For example, one of his lesser subordinates is just a straight up reality warper that can imagine anything and will it into existence.

Not only that but Kaido's devil fruit allows him to absorb and take every single other ability of all of his bat-shit insane subordinates upon their demise, including the reality warper.

Not only that but Kaido legit found the One Piece and is now just straight up God because sure, why not?

Now, imagine that this version of Kaido (who has either personally beaten every other Top Tier or has had his subordinates stall all other Top Tiers) is defeated because Usopp shot a sea stone bullet at him (which his Future Sight should have seen from a mile away) and this allows Luffy to one shot with a nameless attack.

Then instead of seeing the aftermath of any of this, we are immediately catapulted about 10 years into the future when everyone is retired with zero context or reason.

That is how Wano would end if Kubo was writing it. :kobeha:
