Worstgen Server Issues?

#1
Idk where to post this sort of thread but for the last month or so the website has been feeling very slow and just unresponsive at times. I know its got nothing to do with my internet since the other websites work fine and neither is it browser issues since I get the same issue in different browsers also. I am using Edge on Windows PC and Opera on Android mobile.

I don't know what the issue is, is it my WiFi etc. or is it a worstgen server issue etc. its becoming very difficult to use the site like I used to before, can't like posts, alerts take a long time to load, voters on polls are taking long to show, pages load very slowly. I get the loading animation but things dont change etc.

Well, could also be the distance between your network and the one that the server is hosted on. Alwaysdata seems to be a France-based company and I would not be surprised if their data center(s) are in the same country.

That's also why people use a CDN provider like CloudFlare; makes it so resources from your site (such as images and whatnot) are cached in a CF data center closest to you. WG doesn't use CloudFlare or any CDN afaik.

In a nutshell: If Alwaysdata's servers are primarily located in France, users who are far from France (e.g., users in the US or Asia) might experience slower loading times due to increased latency.

As a person studying Linux and sys admin/ devops thank you for the in depth explanation
