Void century seemed to be a massive war between different factions of different ideals.

Only thing that stopped Imu from absolute domination is the control/fuel over Uranus. If he had eternal flame his guys would just spam Uranus and rule the world through pure fear from being wiped throigh a whim.

But he probably wants other weapons too so he can reshape the world the way he wants whenever he wants, as sinking the entire world - whom would he rule over then. Poseidon can probably be used to control sea tides, Pluton unsure.
