She was 8 when she was imprisoned, meaning sometime after Oden died. She met Ace 4 years ago.

We don't know when she met Ace and for all we know it was recent because Ace met Tama who is a kid, one thing that we know is that Yamato didn't met Ace back then.

I am not on bandwagon , its in almost every damn arc xyz will join crew and oda turns it around . Ymato sure has quality to join strawhat , the manner of progress looks very forced .

It does seem like Oda adds new character out of blue to make it look like everything is not happy in Kaido's own backyard similar to big mom . I do feel oda is in huge pressure to make kaido seem more human not just another brute to be beaten and thrown away at leisure .

What makes even more comical is no one in beast pirates have knowledge about her gender . Why is oda complicating his plot ?
Kaido call his daughter a "son " and she self proclaims "oden" and hates her dad derailing wano and wants t free the country .

This confirms to me few things :
1. Kaido loves his daughter and is willing to do anything for her . Even to the point to call his daughter son .

2. Yamato forced to live in isolation is probably because of her rebel like attitude . Kaido had to chain her so that she doesnt create problem in wano .

I mean that’s not really much of a point that can be used against Yamato though. If we are determining the likelihood of a character joining based off the length of their flashback, then doesn’t this also apply to Carrot, if not more? Her flashback was barely half a page from what I recall.

Orochi must have a bigger role in the story. Shogun of Wano....the term kept popping since Zou. But Orochi's role hasn't been unique enough yet. Don't get me wrong, Orochi has been a great villain (much better than Kaido so far), but was Orochi indispensable to the story?!!

Let's identify Orochi's role in the story so far:

1. He killed Sukiyaki
2. He invited Kaido to Wano
3. He planted Kanjuro inside Scabbards
4. He tormented the people of Wano
5. He turned Killer into Kamazou
6. He kept Wano to himself as it's Shogun

The first five roles could easily be done in the story by Kaido himself. Furthermore, if Kaido were to invade Wano 20 years ago instead, Oden's storyline would make more sense.

The main plot-hole Orochi helped to cover was Moriah. Moriah came to Wano 23 years ago and fought Kaido. Hence Kaido had to come to Wano at least 23 years ago. But Oda couldn't make Kaido and Oden co-exist for 3 years without a buffer like Orochi.

I am not sure of the purpose of Orochi anymore. As opposed to being indispensable to the story, he is being used as story tool, despite Orochi being a better villain than Kaido so far.

Well she isn't clearly lying but she could be. In my personal opinion I doubt Oda will go the same route he went with Pudding and not only that Kaido is clearly not aware of Yamato having Oden's notebook which for sure has some of the information he was intending to get from the scabbards before Kanjuro confirmed they knew nothing.
