Lol why are you even entertaining his argument? Legendary Pokémon being catchable is just a gameplay mechanic and not actually reflective of the Pokémon’s power levels.
Even in the anime they’re not as Op as Pokédex’s though. The only world where Pokémon are these silly Op things is where you ignore the gameplay they come from and the anime.

Pretty sure mad shit happens in the games with arceus unknowns raquaaza etc

Iirc you can reality warp and get an egg with dialga palkia or giratina in.

Also
Humans in pokemon verse are very resilient Ash takes many pokemon attacks and carries a larvitar which weighs a shit ton.

Then you can’t deny the fact that every legendary Pokémon can take serious injury from practically every other Pokémon.

they’re far from invincible, when you use the games you open the doors to everything in them, not just the bonus feats

In a turned based system where you can 1 vs 6 and have unlimited heals sure.

Rayquaza wins in base, in the game, he destroyed a giant ass meteor that dwarfed mountain ranges

As mega he destroyed the surface wiping or even higher meteor

If you want to use the Pokédex you can’t pick and choose. We can go with the anime instead if you want
I'm not picking and choosing. I'm giving context to your points.

This is a 1 vs 1 not turned based Kaido doesn't have heals and status effects or a team of 6.
He getting folded
