Since the return of the timeskip, Oda has constantly shit on Luffy new arc power up the arc after. FS is the prime example of that.
Now G5 have lost its uniqueness (Bonney can do it too) and his specialness (already appeared to many times in Egghead for basically no decisive showing). Which means that a gear 6 is in the waiting.
Which also means that people should be grateful that Luffy and Zoro do not use AdvCoC that’s means that Oda is not ready to shit on it… yet

Nevertheless, One Piece isn't Dragon Ball. It always had creativity in the battles with interesting choreographies. The levels got dropped in post ts when Haki was more frequent and repetitive than individual abilities but Egghead really set the bar that low, I cannot help to compare this shit with MHA.
Quite frankly to say, I'm very disappointed - and once again, I used to like G5...

Bonney as a 12-year old legit blows out most of the Supernova with the Nika transformation feat alone.
If she really wanted to she could probably create a future where she is the WSC, WSS, WSM, Pirate King-tier, etc.

And each time, it did wonders... well, except against Big Mom but at least Luffy was excused.
Now in Egghead, with Luffy apparently being Yonko level who went toe to toe with drunken Kaido, his previous gears and ACoC. He cannot do shit to any top tier and got owned like a fodder - Snake Man vs Kizaru - and despite G5 apparently showing "dominance" to his enemies, the result only shows them with mild injuries which makes G5... useless. It did nothing.
Kizaru endured named techniques while being mind broken. He's no Kaido, Big Mom or Kuzan physically. Yet he's easily taking G5 attacks lol.
Let's forget Kizaru because at least we can say he is a top tier.
Lucci is a high tier more comparable to YC1 who arguably performed far worse against Zoro than King. Even this guy took at least 2 named techniques with mild injuries. I'm sure he'd sleep if Kaido thunderbaguad his ass lmao.
