How can Togashi be considered a good author is beyond me.
A manga where the protagonist has to train for 3 months every arc to become super strong only to meet super stronger people.
But chimera any can become unbeatable just by existing.
And only a person in a billion can be a hunter or something retarded like that and then the arena and greed island is filled with shitters that are not hunter but are 100x stronger than Gon at the exam, or Leorio.
Who were outliers themselves and seldomly the hunter exam had such a good bunch of candidates.
Also writing a story and not knowing where it's gonna go and adding asspulls after asspulls like Nanika is pure retardation.

Also, analysing a panel like that 2 times larger than it is supposed to be read in the first place is missleading and fallacious.

Togashi’s writing on the whole is undoubtedly superior to Oda’s, but when you’ve had 26 goddamn years to write a story barely covering 400 chapters, I’d expect the quality per chapter to be high. I also think if we’re being honest, the chimera ant arc is both an outlier and bordering on overrated with how much praise it gets. At the end of the day, a couple of decades to write one, admittedly very good, arc.
Kishi doesn’t even deserve to be mentioned unless as the prototype for what Oda is becoming. The king of unfulfilling timeskips, friendship power, asspulls and an overall inconsistent plot.
All 3 mangaka are deeply flawed. My respect for what they’ve accomplished, but damn.

Let's be honest Oda's writening now is trash. Zoro faced Nosjur in previous chapter, but somehow we don't see them at all. Even when location where fight happening was showed. This is bad writening, plot convinience and other shit.
So we again got Oda skipping everything, to show how Luffy eat, restore powers and again got into action. This is soooo bad.

HxH is extremely overrated, the story has no where to go and pretty much finished the moment Gon got his hunter license lmao. No concrete goals, and just random bad guys that keeps getting stronger.
Out of the main characters, only Kurapika and Killua have been given actual character arcs and even they’re just simple writing lol. Kurapika is just a revenge story and Killua is this massacre machine slowly turning into something more human. Both tropes that have been done a million times before and done better. And nen is such a well defined power system, that we know characters can make conditions to their powers. And since Hisoka's rubber nen in nature does not require any conditions due to how low level it is, he can make bigger conditions to his power with less drawbacks.
Nothing objectively here is better than Togashi's scribbles. Togashi's scribbles are way better than Oda's finished work since they don't overcrowd with bullshit and main attention in those panels stand out.
