It's partially what made me drop One Piece during the second halves of WCI and Wano, and killed my enthusiasm for the manga.

It's why I always cringe when fans try to hype OP up as some kind of storywriting masterpiece.

No, it fucking isn't.

It's a fun read for large stretches and has an incredibly interesting world, but in terms of actual storytelling it really isn't much better than your average shonen manga.

But vegapunk is not really confirmed dead tho. The shp are lugging around his body. Something's gotta come out of that.

And he has purposely acted negligently when he had multiple opportunities to kill Bonney and Kuma.

The evidence is there if you know where to look.

And also, vegapunk dying actually triggered his deadman's switch. So Kizaru "Killing" Punk was actually to punk's advantage.

As far as we all know currently, Stella is dead. Kizaru thinks he killed his friend and when pushed to do so was willing to kill Bonney and Kuma

Nothing has changed from then to now for Kizaru, as far as we know. And there’s really nothing in the broadcast to get Kizaru to reconsider? Maybe the world flooding but that’s not personal or dramatic.

More like Oda is stalling because he is busy with the Live Action so he can't focus on two things at once without messing something up. So he goes really slowly due to divided attention.
