But we’re never shown this outstanding haki, hell when they’re greatest enemy is right in front of them none of them use CoC coating even Pumba just used basic CoC with a roar like Big Mom did in WCI.

That's typical Oda and him having characters hold their power back even in critical situations. For example, despite having CoC, Sengoku never used it when it would of definitely been beneficial to do so. Although the Marines won, the losses on their side was really unnecessary with this in mind. And the Admirals not dispatching Luffy quickly when they could have. All of this is to say that Oda is saving the full arsenal of the Gorosei for later.

It weird that taking hits is a big deal all of sudden for the elders.
Every one take hits in OP and that with out them having regen .

The one piece world doesn't know Roger's real name is Gol D. Roger he's known as Gold Roger.
The reveal is for the op world and not the reader and will lead to ramifications in later on in the story
