Completely agree man. Oda said the One Piece will be something physical, that it wont be something like "the friends we made along the way" or "the journey itself" but he has a track record of lying and letting us down, of baiting, I dont trust him at all. Its damage control.
At best, I see it being something like a one piece swimsuit, a joke book, some kind of comedic, gag thing. Maybe a clown nose or makeup lmfao. Buggy Pirate King hype?
Treasure can be anything depending on someones value of it too, their attachment to it too ofc.
The story is barely even about Roger and the One Piece anymore, its some kind of deep state socio political epic blah blah, not some simple, big hearted, humble, wholesome, thrilling pirate adventure story. Its so extremely convoluted, dragged out and pretentious now.
Almost 30 years in and we still barely know shit about the Roger Pirates, even Roger himself and Rayleigh and Scopper is still non existent, the theory/joke of him being Fujitora may as well be true at this rate. Denjiro was also theorised to be Koushiro, Fujitora and Scopper and thus vice versa between them lmfao.
I suspect the reason for the 13 page chapters lately, like 3-4 of them at most and that random break was because Oda was trying to time the story, pace it towards next weeks anniversary of One Piece and or just because hes working on the live action season 2 too. Instead of a month break this time, this is what we get instead.
