The only one who can beat me is me
One thing I will give Luffy is he tries to fix his most apparent issues before he rematches in one way or another. Kidd's a raging idiot who will keep trying to truck his way through the same problem.

It's so hardheaded that it's almost admirable, makes Luffy look like a genius. I'm starting to like Kidd for this, it's unique to him... it's just annoying seeing him with that big ass smile on his face, acting cocky like he's about to do something, when he's doing absolutely jack shit 😂

Hopefully next time we see him he loses that smile at the very least.

I mean not really

Kid didn’t just stupidly challenge the RHP again right after Beckman took his arm.

First he tried building an alliance, but that failed. Kaido fell on him and he got captured. He changed his goals to Kaido. Awakened his powers and got stronger off screen. Mastered awakening and his DF against BM.

Returned to face the BMP as a 3 billion berry pirate and actually forced Shanks himself to act.

Luffy did the exact same thing in wano, he just had plot armor. After getting negged the first time he returned in act 3 to face Kaido. He got defeated several more times but he kept getting more chances due to plot until he was strong enough to win.

Kid didn’t get a second round against Shanks due to Jika awakening or some bullshit. He just lost.

so much of Luffy’s success is entirely due to the fact that he’s Nika. It’s insane.

Luffy would have been killed by the sea king in chapter 1 if not for Shanks saving him. Why did Shanks save him? He told WB he made a bet on the next generation or something.

In context of what we know now, we can assume he likely did it because he knew Luffy was Nika. He knew Luffy ate the Nika fruit and he knew he had Roger’s dream, meaning he assumed Luffy would be Roger’s successor.

Shanks also told Rayleigh about that, meaning it’s likely that that is the reason Rayleigh trained Luffy.
