Well you might be correct for Kidd mentality being one of few elements of attributes of successful .......but you can't ditch ppl like Luffy to be losers IRL if Kidd is the example of being successful, Luffy has the same spirit and if not more.

Luffy has the benefits of being the mc, everyone has their eyes on him and due to that ppl helps him, give him knowledge and trained him, and Luffy listened and can put away his pride.

Kid never did anything wrong, he was fighting a yonko crew. It’s bothersome that Oda had to say that those guys were just weaklings or borderline civillians to justify Shanks as the good guy. Shanks is evidently not a good guy because he didn’t stop the giants from massacring an already defeated crew.

Both Kid and Shanks didn’t do anything wrong in this pirate world. Maybe this was just him showing Shanks’ rage akin to Roger’s with their don’t mess with my friends policy. What slightly bothers me again is how he tried hard to make Kid look like the bad guy. This was a good showing of Shanks’ don’t fuck with my friends policy though.

I talked about athletes as a whole to address the point of how people think its stupid for kid to try compete with someone he previously lost to. All athletes lose to others, that doesnt mean they just give up on beating that person. For a combat athlete, Kids personality is the norm

There is a clear difference in the way oda potrays characters like kid and law to the actual villains in the story like deflamingo, arlong, crocodile, saturn ect. I shouldnt have to explain this...
