Imo yes, they just aren’t contenders for one piece. Chapter 1121’s final page was mostly showing the big leaders of each faction.
The supernova don’t lead major factions and with Kid and Law’s defeat, can’t be considered in the PK race anymore.
But that doesn’t mean they aren’t relevant because that was never their purpose in the story. Their purpose was always as allies to other faction leaders.
Kid, Law, Killer, Bonney, and Bege all allied with Luffy
Drake allied with Luffy but imo more importantly, he is Koby’s commanding officer.
Apoo and Hawkins allied with Kaido
In any case, the majority of the supernova are in Luffy’s bag so imo they’re still relevant. The race to OP isn’t the rest of the series. After OP is found you’ll still need to overthrow the CDs on mariejois.
I think more than likely, all the current yonko bar Luffy will fall by the time Luffy becomes PK. Luffy will beat Teach, and then Shanks/CG. By the time Luffy is PK, the current yonko will get replaced by the supernova.
Kid and Law are obvious choices but imo in addition, you will have Bonney and Urouge.
Bonney has a Nika form and can probably already beat most commanders. Urouge is a dark horse just like Bonney and could end up as busted as she is.
In any case, the story will ultimately converge with Luffy and SHs + their allies(Supernova, Sword, revos) vs Imu and CDs + their allies(marines, cipher pol, army of the 100+ kingdoms)
