No one truly believes this not even the people using it as a fearmongering tactic to fool people. You don't have to believe me on this, believe their actions. No democrat with president aspirations will attach themselves to this election as a candidate be it president or Vice. They understand the chance of a win this year is slim to none, and would end any future attempts for them. So they are letting Kamala take the fall while they plan for 2028 because they understand the US will continue as normal after Trump because of US's built in ability to limit control and self correct.

Many things are wrong here
- First real wrong thing is putting the Israel / Palestine conflict as a center in the European campaign. 70 or 80% of LFI program/campaign during EU election was about Israel and Palestine. WTF was that ? You can obviously talk about conflicts in the world but as much ? For a conflict far from Europe and having no link with the actual election ? it’s unprecedented
And bringing this conflict as much as they did divided the population, raised the tension to the max, put the Jewish population at risks ( and the number of antisemitic acts rised/is rising tenfold)
And they talked about this conflict without any nuance, without any second thoughts, creating polarization
And the worst is they obviously did that to please their base and attract muslims and suburbs votes. They promote communitarism.
While at the same time you can find videos of Melenchon about Russia or China defending their invasions or finding excuses.
- the way they justified and almost promoted the act of Hamas during the 7th October. It was only « resistance », it was acceptable, it was not terrorism etc etc. You can find some posts that are terrible. How can a Republican Party say that kind of things ? During the NFP deal and creation the biggest point of deal was to know if Hamas was or not a problem ? LOL. They wrote that they didn’t to work on their antisemitism Lool
And even recently when you have a guy like Caron, when a 12y old little girl was raped because being Jewish, can only tweet that we are talking about that too much and 2 weeks ago a Romanian woman was killed because of racism….. really ? This is the new level now ? Not being able to care about a little girl and putting racism against the other form of racism ?
and doing so is denying that since 7th October Antisemitism rose a lot, denying it’s an actual real problem today.
Even Melenchon himself partakes : taking to Jerome Guedj and saying he took positions because he is Jewish, saying antisemitism wasn’t that big in France etc etc.
And obviously this level of polarization and verbal violence and tension made their militants and supports on fire. During the EU election the PS / Left candidate was insulted and talked down because he was Jewish etc etc.

And putting her at the front row once again didn’t allow to talk rationally about this conflict and didn’t allow to calmly analyzing things and not just putting people against the others.
I have also ton of other things to say about the LFI even outside the Israelian / Palestinian conflict.
So yes I say this again : LFI today is as bad as RN and it shows how much they sank as a party
