-space travel becomes quicker
-a good planet with a real atmosphere is reachable

See people are brainwashed to think a certain way about those topics. Although in recent years there's been backtracking and attempts to do controlled disclosures.

I'd say the starting point to explore and understand the topic would looking up Jacques Vallee and try to understand things from his perspective.

If in current day and age we can create quite good deepfakes. Then what does it take an interstellar alien species to simply blend in and pretend they are humans?

If you take the universe as a whole different species would appear randomly at large intervals, even millions of years apart. So just take into consideration the possibility of aliens that are simply 100,000 years ahead of us technologically, could be more, but in that time frame they surely would have been far more advanced than us.

Just put that into perspective.

100.000 years ahead in technology it's probably something godlike we wouldn't even be insects to a species like that lol.....we take for granted what we have today but this whole technological progress started and accelerated around 300 years ago and humans walk on Earth since what 200.000 years ? More or less ? That's not a growth that's an explosion!
Super computers used to millions of dollars 50 years ago and now your phone it's a super computer!
100k years of technological advancements are probably beyond science fiction xD
