Those people received death threat. The DJ herself received a large harrasment in private, many death threat and fatphobic messages.
You overestimate the capacity of religion to understand and accept critic through blasphem which is - by the way - a religious term that only applies when religious people talk about it.
You expect people to just take this insult quietly
There is no insult against anyone. There is a form of irrespect against an institution and not against people.
You would be right to feel insult if the critic was coming in a context of oppression or obsession or if people who believe were targeted, but this is not the case here.
Worst.. the irrespect here is minimal.
Around 20 nations are run by the left in Latin America, a couple turned into full blown dictatorships, some became authoritatian regimes.
I think the problem in latin america is a little bit more complicated than just "the left is the problem". Those are countries with high degrees of corruption, where oppositions are armed to the teeth and that are heavily sanctionned by the US who wants their ressources.
Iran is literally a dictatorship lmao. At least take good examples. But no, the law must be the same for all.
The religious critic through caricature (what people call blasphemy) has nothing to do with the law. It should be possible everywhere without conditions.
That said. Its not because it is permitted that we must use it without consideration.
In France, for example, Muslim are systematically attacked (by the system, the institutions, people, the power, the medias, pretty much every strats of society). So.. what is happening when we create blasphemy and attack the religion blindly in those conditions ?
Well, we create a dogpilling. We add attacks and irrespect to an already present oppression. The entierity will be then used to target muslim and create even more oppression.
This is how islamophobia was multiplied over the years. Simply because we did not control the critics and we assimilated muslim to dangerous people in the process to justify our critics. And if I tell you that, it's because I have participated in that before understanding how damaging it was for muslims:

At first, those were simple critics about the lack of inclusion of this religion but in 2020, two things happened : A teacher was decapitated for teaching children about the caricatures of Charlie Hebdo and showing it to them and A girl, Mila, was harrassed on a national scale for blaspheming on instagram or something. This started a big debate over the notion of blasphemy and I started to see a lot of hate and dangerous comments from Muslim (as well as from conservatist). And the time I was convinced that the left didn't reacted well and should have explained why blasphemy is a right. (I had very little knowledge on the notions of dominations and systemic oppressions at the time and I was stuck in an information bubble) .
This started to create the third far right belief :
- The belief that Islam and some muslims were dangerous for civilization.
This belief, contrary to most, was not really complete. Like I told you, I had already installed a lot of critical thinking tools.. so I knew even when this beliefs started, that it wasn't rationnal and that something was wrong. I knew that I was falling for my biases but I didn't know how to prevent it. This early anti-religion childhood belief was so deeply rooted that I had an inner conflict for around 1 years. But what I didn't understand, was the reason why the left was so tolerant with Islam despite those behavior I was seeing.
My point is that we can't critic the same way someone who is under oppression and someone who is the oppressor. That would be negating the relationships of domination that are foundamental to understand conflicts in the world.
And yes, it applies to women too.
You can't expect women, who live in fear for the most part, in our society, who are systematically oppressed no matter the country with huge inequalities of lives... To be tolerant of men when we know that patriarchy is a system of domination of men over women, where we are all participating in and where all men are benefiting from.
The left constantly tries to paint everything as black n' white and force you to choose between an all or nothing package, which of course, most choose nothing since some of the shit is unacceptable
You missunderstand the problem
The rise of the far right is due to liberalism and its failure, politics of austerity and the complete mediatization of reactionnary and conservatist politics.
The saying "the far right only rise because leftist are leftist" is an excuse of liberals to avoid looking at themselves and their failures.
If you are cool to make compromises with sexism, racism, lgbtqi+ phobia or pauverty, you are not being rationnal. You are being conservative.
At least Argentinia is now free from leftwing politics.
And pauverty and inequalities have never been so high.
