I want to say though that Garp's portrayal fighting alongside Roger against Xebec and his crew who had WB as an underling....was some serious portrayal. Might have even come at the cost of WB and to a lesser extent Rayleigh.

Obviously we don't know the details, but from a very basic portrayal lens it's big.

Honestly if you just said you thought Garp was stronger then WB I wouldve been okay with it lol because there are way worse takes.

But then you went and called him a hoe and basically started insulting his character and it kinda triggered me lol because hes one of the goats.

Oh I'll gladly admit I don't fw Newgate's character (rather I think his own fans miscategorize his character like thinking him not avenging Oden was bad, but going to Marineford for Ace was good), mainly due to how overhyped he is, if that's what you're asking for. "the babysitter" and the "Xebec's blonde hoe" just stemmed from the discussion I was having between him and Roger. But that has nothing to do with where I rank him.

Dawg, it's because people recognize that there is more to portrayal than these super niche criteria that you guys love to narrow down and gatekeep to no end

Rayleigh is easily one of the most respected top tiers in the manga. You don't need to be a fanboy to see that. Rayleigh's one of the only guys left who has only been given good showings time and time again

I mean Roger had his entire crew, Garp was there with his marines, and then there was Garling and his Knights lol. And given Kaidos words of “Pirates will always betray you” kinda hints at some betrayal happening during God Valley.

Especially when they mentioned several times that the crew was unstable and there was a lot of infighting.
