DBZ Kai was successful. Shueisha just being smart by starting the remake early so when op manga and og anime finishes, they'll still have a cow to milk. A seasonal OP anime, a better product.

Fact is, OP hype internationally is at an all time high with the LA. But it'll soon come down/is coming down with the manga ending. They maximizing the window of opportunity by giving us a remake.

Og dbz was the shit it wasn't an aura filled pile of garbage we got much later like with dbs, ost was dope too, not sure what was there to remake exactly, but they just wanted to milk it more.

OP however went some drastic changes, the manga is already at a snail pace - in anime automatically is 10x worse because they would catch up otherwise.

I think with kai they just cut out the fluff from dbz and made it look slightly more current (for the time).

Here they have a lot more fluff to work with and nearly 30 years worth of animation advancements to run through

I hope they will go aka DBZ Kai and scrap all the filler stuff focus on the manga.

I know the live action changed some shit but the pacing was good compared to the shit hole of anime at times.

Also while the Live Action is going on, this will allow new watchers to get into One Piece, ain't nobody tryna watch a 30 year old series with over 1000 episodes. Smart business decision.

Why? The One Piece anime soundtrack is pretty mid for the most part, there are some great scores here and there, but overall nothing special. There are tons of outdated, corny osts in there.

The soundtrack needs to be updated for sure.
