Whats creative about trying to kill a mislynch bait like Red Night if hes town?

Or if hes scum then AM jailed him and they shot him, but then again whats the point? They lost Polar Bear and AM was firmly in the POE, they needed to kill town not play some 500 IQ chess thing to clear Red Night where Red Night doesnt even claim bulletproof townie to sell it and just claims vanilla so then town logically thinks he was Jailed and shot at?
