Oda doesn’t care much about the quality of the story, he gives the bare minimum to maintain it
Side tits, vivre cards, anime, live action, stall piece, agenda piece, anything to sell more merchandise and content
Big shows like Game of thrones got cancelled and Oda and Opla think they are different?
I bet at least 20-50% of the community only watch it because they force themselve and trying to support Oda.
Didn't they said this netflix serie would be the gamechanger? Make One piece even more popular? Where and how, the first season was solid, animation/CGI was trash and actors did a solid role, story was solid(lot of changes).
Manga has the lowest sale after 15years, we hit so many breaks and not because Oda has health problems but because he work seperate on Opla shit and other projects and for what?
We didn't gain much new fans, no old readers start reading even less. And only all that to promote that shitty live action and other projects.

bro these guys are clueless. The reason why Live Action was a success was because already fans of One Piece watched it. The series didnt actually end up bring in a new viewers
every season of TV viewership tends to go down unless the 1% chance this somehow will end up being as successful as Stranger Things or GOT but it simply doesnt appeal to the normie crowd enough to do that
in 2027 it will be cancelled and we will be like wtf was the point in even making it

This, it only success because the fans watched it. We didn't got much new fans. Oda wont win any award with Opla, I wish he could but let be realistic here, the chances are pretty low.
To gain a lot of new fans, you need some avengers/marvel lvl shit to get lot of attention.
Bro the CGI is so bad that even other japanese live actions, got better Cgi with let budge.
This whole project is going to flop, maybe not now but in s3-4 things will became bad.

I'd need to see viewership numbers per episode and what the dropoff is at the end of season 1. Unfortunately streaming services are notoriously bad (and manipulative) with what they provide. I can't even find any proper statistics on S1 besides its debut.
None of it matters if only a small portion of the audience watched until the finale.
I know I didn't stick around - the acting was absolutely god awful, the set design clearly had good work put into it, but the visuals had the Netflix plastic stain all over it, the CGI looked cheap and old, the camera work was erratic and gave a weird sense of 'cliché'.
It's certainly not the worst Live Action adaptation, but I highly doubt that its quality is high enough to keep people interested for multiple seasons.
It was also extremely expensive for the actual quality of the end product.
Ye filler chapter again
Oda's mind is on live action right now
Last chapter was exactly what i think it is, that it was written to stall before moving to new arc/new project.
Until he's done with the LA, we won't be getting any legit chapter anytime soon.
The next project (Elbaf) probably isn't even started
Honestly what made me laugh even more about this live action is that absolute bogus that the One Piece YouTubing community was saying about the series when they were clearly being influenced about pushing it in a positive light
there has not been a single discourse around the live action adaptation in terms of theorising or discussing. Shows how irrelevant it has been in maintaining public attention towards it
Actually that is not a bad idea.
He would gain more fans by winning them over WIP remake. Oda should not forget, his most audience who also buy his manga, are japanese readers. We western reader also buy them but the japanese one has 90% effect on his manga sales. And I don't think the japanese audience think much of live action opla. But WIP remake wiuld clearly make effort to get more attention in japan community.
He should accept that One Piece wont get much audience in europa/western culture by a shitty live action. Rather the anime can change things, just see Kimetsu no yaiba and JJK.
Both mangas got boost by anime, Oda focus should be on the remake of the anime, that is his only chance to get more fans. This or a canon movie...
People joke themselve if they think One Piece live action will bring us more fans and boost the sales of the manga...
