Kizaru is one of the best characters Oda ever created. I loved him before for a different reason, but he managed to make him great in another way now. I was actually shook for the longest time I wouldn't mess with him anymore if he gets too emotional, because the reason I liked the character wasn't for his emotions it was because of his cold troll personality. But for the most part he kept his composure as much as possible, this enhanced his character, did not ruin it, he's just different now but his Sabaody version still holds.
Kinda reminds me of Katakuri after merienda, pre merienda Kat was pure edgy badass, but post merienda Kat took the character to another level while still somehow maintaining his badass aura. Only Oda is capable of pulling this stuff off honestly for previously one tone characters.
