Perhaps in Elbaf Luffy will give Kid a vikings funeral and send him off like Brok
-No special lineage like BB
-No OP DF's like admirals, BB, Kaido/BM, Whitebeard, worstgen etc etc
-No race buffs like BM, Kaido, King, Kuma etc etc just a human
-No gifted haki super swords like Mihawk/Zoro
1 arm and just pure will power and he is able to dominate not only the in universe world with it, but also shaking the fandom in real life whenever he appears and ending agendas as a hobby, Shanks is the embodiment of HIM through pure hardwork how can you not root for the god king?

No agenda just facts, WSS title is simplistic in it's nature especially within the context of a shounen manga, and Mihawk's motives are easy to explain as well as Oda's decisions in regards to him. I've been bodying baboons for years over this. People that slander this characters are either just gay for shanks, or are fangirls of buggy.
I have never tried to inflate Mihawk to be more important than he is in terms of narrative, I just like the concept of someone being the Strongest in the World, which was garnered through reputation and world renown, similar to Whitebeard, and the fact that it is indeed true. A symbol of absolute strength, that is to be surpassed by Zoro eventually.
The slander of this character is extremely forced, I saw Jay D's recent video on Mihawk, and then I made a comment which he obviously dodged because I made the comment very early after he posted it, even Brago thought crocodile actually clashed equally with Mihawk when that was anime only. A lot of the community is unknowledgeable when it comes to this particular matter, even if you want to say they are knowledgeable in other aspects.
He has the best swordsmanship in the world, and top tier haki to drive it, as well as other top tier attributes. His black blade marks the pinnacle of swordsmanship. If someone slanders him and says he didn't make it, that means a black blade that existed as the strongest blade in existence during Rogers era, did not choose any of those guys and think them suitable/worthy for it, Shiki, Big mom, Xebec, any marine since they're all trained to use swords, Rayleigh etc, because we know a sword chooses it's user. As well as this a swordsman has to bend the sword to it's will to earn the right to wield it, which Mihawk has clearly done.
Mihawk's bounty reveal saying he has superior swordsmanship to shanks would be like if they showed WB's bounty and said "He has even more destructive capability than Roger!" which is true because of the quake fruit, which I think largely contributes to Whitebeards WSM title. Even if WB and Roger are equal, WB's fruit gives him a capability to do something Roger can't, in the same vein Shanks doesn't have the same capability as Mihawk, Blow for blow Mihawk is better at fighting with a sword, that's not debatable, this makes it so that Zoro's dream is not invalid.
Regardless if Oda wants Shanks to have the strongest haki in the world. And we know that Joyboy's haki which is relative to Shanks haki, can knock out VA's, cool, but it's not putting out top tiers. And GB despite being tazed by Shanks said he didn't want to fight while being jumped, but he wants to fight later, showing he's still not afraid of shanks just because he has strong haki.
And so you have someone like Mihawk, who doesn't even rely on a DF to fight, similar to shanks, and unless you think shanks tazes the Worlds strongest swordsman to oblivion before he can do anything, then shanks would be hard pressed to even land something on Mihawk with CoC, he'd have to get past Mihawks guard, and Mihawk is better than him in close combat. So no even if shanks tards want to slander Mihawks haki, which would be stupid to do in the first place, it's not a good argument.
Topped off with Oda literally insinuated WB, Shanks and Mihawk would have a 1v1v1, bearing their weighty ideals against eachother. And oda making his own personal commentary at one point, calling Shanks vs Mihawk the dream matchup. I can understand if people are slandering Mihawk for his inaction, but what is he going to do, when he doesn't have any political ambition, besides wait for someone to challenge him, Oda already said he's tired of life. So in this case only now is he being pushed into this race to the One Piece via affiliation with Buggy.

Multiple agendas
Luffy is a fav because of his character mostly pre timeskip. Now he’s a bit too shonen protag.That’s what he is but at least there was subtle qualities that him more interesting.
Shanks because he’s got some of the best feats and stature.
Emperors over Admirals because of their monstrosity and crazy durability. And they’re not WG errand boys. I prefer characters that symbolize freedom (even flawed freedom) as opposed to establishment

Mihawks guard along with his yoru and torso would get cut in half if Mihawk tried to block a attack from Shanks. If WB, Shanks, Mihawk had 1v1v1, Mihawk would die from just the shockwaves of their fight, he wouldn't even register on the radar of those 2, eventually Shanks would win though. Also thats assuming its Primebeard. If its oldbeard then Shanks would do to Mihawk and Oldbeard what he did to Kid+Killer. In a 1v1 Shanks neg diffs Mihawk. Not even low. Straight up neg. Haki transcends all. That includes swordsmanship. GB got wifi haki neg diffed by Shanks he wanted to fight later in other words he wanted 4 admirals together + armies of VA's and marines + gods knights + Gorosei to help him fight Shanks alone on home territory. Shanks would do to Mihawk what he did to GB. Mihawkfans can cope as hard as they want. Shanks 1 shots Mihawk. And Mihawk confirms:
