The Rogue Prince
Nah, no meltdowns. I really think he has it because in the manga was black, wasn't corrected in volume and in the OP wall was black.. If he doesn't have it, well, a shame but one can go on: I like the story of Gennai Aramaki so there is that too.

Hope you guys will be alright if he has it. And honestly, I don't get all this commotion: just hype him if he has it lol.

Oda is sick of Shanks: last time he even had to hype Shanks haki compared to Joy boy, JOY BOY.
Even BB, the one who will kill him, I am willing to bet will make an horrendous display just because even in death Oda will have to hype Shanks.

Anyway, as I said the other day:
the scene of Shanks-GB was way overhyped. Imu reacted in the same way at Joy Boy's haki, but Imu Isn't a lot weaker than Joy Boy for sure (and Shansk's haki was even hyped by the giants) and now one even tried to say It. However, with GB someone did try.

Also, opposite of Imu, GB Is over the top with his reactions, we saw this against Momo too (https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/for...mples-of-greenbull-acting-like-a-clown.59070/), and anyway explicitly retreated in front of Shanks' whole crew.
He said It himself and even said that It wasn't the time to fight them, not even that he wouldn't fight them period:

Kaido himself had King with him (and didn't have to deal with the mugi, Kidd and Law too) and still retreated in front of the RHP. And Shanks didn't even have a wrinkle on his shorts at MF, Kaido didn't even fazed him lol.

He Is just Oda's golden boy, even compared to Joy Boy as we saw. That + film Red promotion + Ryo being histrionic + him talking about the RHP as a whole + the already impossible situation + Kaido's past example are enough to explain what happened.
You can save that essay justification, I'm not gonna buy it.

Stronger characters making weaker characters back off is nothing new, Aokiji vs Doflamingo for instance. The message was clear and Oda had Doffy back off but he didnt disrespect him in doing so, like he disrespected Greenbull.

Both future villains but how they are treated is completely different. Which is why any attempt from the "Chadmiral" fanbase at saving face or hyping Greenbull seems like a joke.

He's still Admiral level, but maybe "Admiral level" isnt all that compared to the Top Tiers who Oda actually treats specially.

What new headcannon?

Just because I'm putting all the pieces together and figuring out black blades doesn't make it headcannon because you don't agree or like it.

The databook said black blades are the most elite blades in the entire manga. That alone tells us black blades are above all non-black blades. We know forging a blade into a black blade raises it's rank. We know black blades are unbreakable. If a black blade clashed against a non-black blades the non-black blades would break while the black blade wouldn't. That is true regardless of which grade each sword belongs to. Put all the pieces together and that tells us when you forge a black blade and raises its rank you are not taking it from the standard grade to a higher standard grade. Instead, it enters its own unique grade that belongs to black blades making it an elite grade blade.

To simply put it, there are actually 4 grades. The three standard grades supreme, excellent, and fine and the hidden fourth grade, elite. All black blades belongs to the elite grade. Once they enter the elite grade how they are ranked is based off of the 3 standard grades.

Makes sense. They need to make the Black blade a feat because otherwise they’re fully at the mercy of shanks.
I said this to my Admiral bros but if Ryokugyu is genuinely wielding a Black Blade, in the moment that info is revealed the sword agenda is officially dead.

Ryokugyu will 100% go down to Sanji. The greatest feat Zoro will get is to break the strongest blade, a black blade at that. The only character to do so but Sanji would be doing the same and this is simply a catastrophe for Zoro bros.

Not mentioning that a DF merchant/CoC-less power ranger wielding a black blade is already humiliating enough.

Fuji getting a seijo was already a great blow.

Oh and remember. Both fighters that respectively represent the peak of swordsmanship are the weakest Admirals most likely.

I am serious here: Imu twerked worst against Joy Boy; still the final enemy. BB twerks every time; pirate final enemy and possibly stronger than WB and Roger.

Now why in a desperate situation, with a histrionic character that explicitly talked about the whole RHP crew and is prone to act funnily (see against Momo) this is a problem, in other words why this is a problem only for Ryokugyu, this is beyond me.

The reality is that Admirals have to uphold standards that the community doesn't ask even for final enemies.

It’s more of if Mihawk doesn’t get a big feat then all shanks has to do is mention not being a swordsman in his first big fight in the manga and suddenly Mihawk stocks nosedive.
Yeah but then Mihawk having a black blade wouldn't even matter at this point. Mihawk main hype was never about Yoru but about being the WSS and a stronger swordsman than Shanks (who so far only fought using his sword).

I'd be a bit more worried but Oda does this all the time depending on a character's personality. Teach does it all the time, even got Imu twerking recently. As long as they deliver featwise and don't end up like BM, it's all good. I'd say chances of Greenbull looking like the weakest top tier are pretty low considering how he got off to such a monster start featwise, he's already clear of BM atleast. He turned multiple scabbards who have ACoA and are in the commander ballpark into weed wackers, took Yamato's adCoC attack like it was a mosquito bite, turned Queen and King into fertilizers, put Fujitora in bandaids, packed up Weevil who had the most hype outside of Mihawk for the Warlords. The names and run he has been on has been crazy, despite getting clowned against Shanks.

We shouldn't expect him to beat Shanks, but given his eccentric personality him twerking isn't the end all be all in this verse.
