What will happen to Tou?

#1
As the invasion of Han is underway and my glorious boi Tou is about to whoop some ass, I'm wondering: what will ultimately be his fate in the story?

Now, reading some stuff, I found that
Historically, after conquering Han, he became a governor.

Do you think this is the same path Hara has in store for him? Or he has something else in mind, involving future wars/conquests?
Will Tou find death on a battlefield like his master?
Etc.

Give your thoughts on what the future might hold for him.

He'll end up
Chief of Military after Shouheikun betrays and may end up crippled or killed by Kouyoku
Imo, if Tou is to be defeated...

I could see it happening at the hands of three characters, at least more so than maybe someone else.

First option: Gohoumei. The guy has repeteadly pointed at Tou as someone Wei should take care of. If Hara really wants to give the prime version Homei that super massive hype that would befit Wei's strongest commander in history, him defeating Tou would be absolutely huge.

Second option: Kouyoku. I guess...an hypothetical Great General Kouyoku could maybe pull this off. Kouyoku will really have to make massive strides to make this even possible lmao. Idk. We would have to see if Hara really intends to follow through with his parallels with Qin's young gen.

Third option: Karin. It could also be the case, Karin defeating a "mentor" of the new gen and showcasing her tremendous power in the Chu wars, for her to later be defeated by...Mouten imo.

He'll probably move to politics due to neccessity. Qin has a lot of great military talents, but not enough trustworthy and competent governors as evident in the recent chapter.

The way I see it Tou was always sort of a placeholder within 6GG. He doesn't have the same burning ambition as other members and candidates. For many years he was ok with living within Ouki's shadow and even after his promotion he was giving the spotlight to new generation to nurture their talent.

Imo during the final Han battle against Rakuakan or whoever he'll win but get injured, like lose an arm or an eye, and he'll retire and chill. Maybe showing up from time to time to comment on whatever war's going on

I'd like him similar to ouki that had rule his own land.
1. Kanpishi has gone, regeneration of 'wise'man is needed. Tou understands that.
2. Stupid kanyou official is needed to be changed. Tou, From 'temporary lord' to 'official lord'. Tou's Face mean it
3. Drop the title to open up 4 spots.
Heki / Kyoukai 😒
4. Qin need Strong Man to guard the Strategic Area on the Map.

Out of the three scenarios that you listed in your post, this one has the highest chance of it coming to fruition. Even during the coalition arc Kou Yoku arguably managed to hold his own during their (Kou Yoku vs Tou duel) clash of blades and judging from the mess Tou's hairdo was in after, I don't think Tou held back all that much in that duel either.

So by the time Kou Yoku gets to great general he should be > Tou at the very least. His military career progression parallels Shin after all.
