So Saturn dying brings a few interesting things
1. Garling now has to be told about Imu right? We should see this scene. Garling was very high ranking and we should see whether even he didn’t know Imu existed.
2. Do the Gorosei now lose their teleporter? I mean it was Saturn who summoned them. Are we going to learn that actually all the Gorosei can do the teleportation and it’s all Imu’s power.
3. If Imu was the one providing the Gorosei with immortality, it’s very likely he’s the one that was also providing them with haki. Because everyone was wanking the Haki of the Gorosei and yet they never actually managed to do a single haki attack of note. It’s likely these guys are entirely carried by Imu and barely have any combat prowess themselves
4. How many times has a Gorosei been replaced? Are there Gorosei who have NEVER been replaced since the Void century? Who’s the newest one before Garling was added?

This makes Egghead's ending a bit more satisfying. Saturn HAD to die in this arc. However, it doesn't change the fact that, given the emotional baggage with Saturn, Kuma, Bonney, and Nika, it really should have been Luffy who defeated him in a proper fight. Oda using the escape mission trope didn't fit at all.
Anyway, I won’t dwell on that any longer. It's better now that Saturn is dead. The Blackbeard Pirates impersonating Saturn and infiltrating Mary Geoise is going to be one of the best chapters in One Piece
