Even if King is a swordsman, he would have to claim to be one in One Piece, because his fighting style has too many components that even Zoro admits that King isn't a swordsman by default or by way of his fighting style.

Yea it doesn't matter. King has to claim to be a swordsman as per Zoro's own words. If King claims he's a swordsman, he is a swordsman. If King claims he is NOT a swordsman, then he is not a swordsman. His fighting style allows him this flexibility, as per canon.

Yeah, I preferred it when King was a Jack of trades when it came to fighting. Personally, I wanted to see him kick and punch more. Being a pure swordsman is a bit meh
