You are too impatient, @Mr. Reloaded – don’t you have learned anything from Yamato and her certainly `joining´ the SHPs in the end of Wano?
This is the same - everything is fine: We are still on Egghead, with Lucci slowly coming into focus again and Kizaru still talking with Akainu. What Oda is just doing now, before he gets to the best part, is evening out the power imbalance between the SHPs and the WG on Egghead and setting other fractions up for the final saga. Then he will come back to address the main plot line of Egghead again (Vegapunk and Lucci), which he has so long avoided, and which will ultimately result in one final main clash between the SHPs and the marines. This was, what the powerscalers were missing this arc, right?
And look – Punk Records is floating up and slowly away from the island (maybe even with York and the mother flame on it). If the WG were to just let the Satellites take everything away, the mission would end in complete failure. Don’t you think that at least the WG would try to get everything of their most important goals back? And if they try, who is there to stop them? Only Lucci… .
Everything is fine, Reloaded. Only a few more chapters to go (- and then you can cry and beg for me to be lenient. )
ERR...! … I mean … then you will see Lucci betraying the WG... .
One by one. There will be like 3 Chu campaigns. One where Shin gets negged, then when they capture the capital while SHK and probably Kouen move to the east and establish the new capital there and then for the grand final.
Renpa and Karin go down when the capital is captured, SHK and Kouen after that.
To me One Piece has always been (at least since Marineford) a sequence of 2 major conflicts brewing.
1. The battle over One Piece
2. The battle over the World
Pre-TS we didnt really know the WG had the God Knights or combative Gorosei or Imu, but we knew something past the Marines existed by virtue of Kong and Doflamingo receiving orders from high up to kill Moria.
So one can assume that the battle for One Piece are the main Yonko + Maybe Akainu, while the battle for the world is really just the World Government. However we dont entirely know structure yet with this endgame so theres multiple options:
Imo, Geography forces this to be very specific tthough. I think we have, at most, 2 options:
- The road to Laugh Tale has all Yonko and (maybe) Marines lose. Luffy gets One Piece (whatever combination you imagine happening here is fair game, too many options). Then somehow (Kuma?) sends everyone to face the WG on Mariejoa
- It all ends on Laugh Tale. Everyone loses before LT except the WG who ends up there to fight for control over One Piece.
Thinking about this more lately I feel option one is more likely over 2. Other people have made points (and even this chapter!) that the WG need to be booted from their metaphorical and literal high seat, which means Mariejoa makes the most sense for a final conflict, not Laugh Tale.
In that way though, neither option (to me) leave BB as the FV. He (along with Shanks) has always been that measuring point to Pirate King. Thats their role in the story imo, to lose to Luffy (plus Buggy; all Yonko) before anyone finds One Piece.

@Sir Yasheen no i still do not think Elbaf is a WG centric arc.
I've always assumed, and am still assuming, scenario 1. But I think the Kuma thing is just a possibility, the Major Allied Players can just approach Mary Geoise in different ways...
I'm pretty sure there will be a consistent plan for the assault (which people like Luffy will ruin, of course, but at least they'll start with one).

Fair enough but imo we just got solid proof that imu has a stake for Elbaf as he didn’t care about Punks message, rather he was angry about Luffy.
And it feels like the elimination tournament is beginning to me. With everyone getting desperate now that Punks message aired, people are making their move. Hell we have dragon now saying he’s ready to conquer Mariejoa because it’s one of the safe places left.
Everyone’s making their moves now, I doubt we’re going to wait through all of Elbaf for these moves to collide
