Exactly! If he ordered it, it would at least show he's aware he's not a good person and does what's necessary or "justified". Shanks is the kind of person to cover his eyes or close them so he can pretend he didn't kill you. If he even does it himself, the coward.
He's been doing this shit since chapter 1 literally.
Biggest coward in the series, no wonder he wanted to recruit Yasopp, whose greatest threat/nemesis is being a father. He probably thinks Roger abandoned him and he was abandoned by his parents as a baby so now he has no qualms about others doing the same or even encouraging them to do it.
Shanks just gets pathetically pettier and pettier.
At least other characters dont pretend to not be a piece of shit, are honest about being scum, like Kidd and Barto. They aren't self righteous golden boy heroes.

Okay so in that case then there should be no excuse that Shanks and his crew cant be violent towards Luffy when competing for One Piece 
Could be. Yasopp should have really strong CoO. He also probably used an explosive round like Usopp does.
Itβs not really comparable to damned punk, which is just normal metal shot at high speeds.
Sure yasopp can create a bigger explosion than damned punk, but at the same time, damned punk doesnβt even create explosions when used on a person(see: BM), the explosion is just an after effect.

Yea but this scene in particular gives him some sort of moral copout from Oda, or atleast that's what it looks like. It's pretty wack.
I thought Dory and Brogy taking out Kidd's ship was a lot cooler, but I guess since Bartolomeo is allied with the good people Oda added this little asterisk to it. Maybe not, let's see what the translations say.
