Chapter 986 Battle on Onigashima
Luffy hurries because Momo is in Danger.
Yamato is against Luffy heading to the hall, coz she feels he won't be to accomplish anything by himself, but Luffy replies saying that a lot of his comrades have already infiltrated Onigashima so it'd be okay. And says that's precisely why he has to hurry on ahead, as they would need someone to lead them. He then picks up the pace and leaves Yamato behind.
Yamato shouts to Luffy that he is headed the wrong way and chases after him.
The Beast Pirates are buzzing after hearing Kaidou's New Onigashima plan.
In contrast, Orochi's subordinates are in shock from the events that have just taken place
After slaying Orochi, in order to completely put an end to Shogun lineage, Kaidou swings his blade down at Momo and just before his about to land the fatal blow, a beaten an bruised momo starts talking on the crucifixion cross.
Momo: "This new nation that Kaidou speaks of does not have a place in Wano Country. The path that my father has shown me is not one of world domination, but one of freedom and *cultural exchange/interaction* with the outside world that lies beyond that freedom. Sometimes communication with an unknown world might result in bloodshed on both sides. (However, a brighter future future for us lies beyond even that. Open up Wano Country's borders!!!"
Kaidou's subordinates laugh at and mock Momo passing his words off as the ramblings of a kid.
In contrast the Samurai that have infiltrated the hall are overwhelmed by Momo's words and whilst in tears scream out in response to Momo.
Kaidou notices that a cat that was scraping for leftover food in the hall has collapsed from Momonosuke's Haki and is surprised, but he says "I'll think of a the fact that times did not wait for you to reach your potential as an omen of good luck" and then swings at Momonosuke but Jinbe stops him.
Big Mom notices Jinbe and gets pissed.
All the infiltrated Samurai remove their disguises and then a brawl ensues
Orochi's subordinates are in confusion from the current events but Fukurokuju brings the situation under control with a resounding voice.
Fukurokuju: "We will not bend our knees to justice, evil, lineage or even strength. The only thing we obey is our master and that alone. The moment Orochi was recognized by the previous Shogun of Wano Country "Sukiyaki Oden", he became our master by default. Kaidou baring his blade at out master is unforgivable and as such, we refuse to become his subordinates"
The Mimawarigumi Captain also raises his voice and declares war against the beast pirates.
King ackowledges their decision and commands that every single one of them be massacred to the last man.
Queen is surprised that Orochi's subordinates have decided to bare their fangs against Kaidou but scoffs at thought of them challenging the beast pirates, as even if they add all of the Samurai on Wano's mainland, they wouldn't still have enough numbers to challenge then.
Kaidou's army advances saying "In the first place, we the subordinates of Yonkou Kaidou that live side by side with death itself on a daily basis don't have the same worth of "1" as just regular citizens"
The Yakuza Samurai engage them and then take out several of the gifters.
HYougoro then says "In Wano Country, it is only after that you have cut down a 100 men that you are recognized as an adult. If you want to go with us, you better be sure to have 100x the amount of men that we do"
Jinbe is impeded by Big Mom and Momo's life is in danger once again.
This time however, Yamato makes an appearance and on seeing her, Kaidou scolds her.
Kaidou says he respects Yamato saying that she wants to inherit Oden's will and tells that now she now has the opportunity to achieve all that Oden couldn't if she takes up the seat of Shogun.
Yamato says that Oden is not someone that will take up the title of Shogun coz someone else told him to do it and refuses. As such Kaidou loses his shit.
All of the Samurai that have infiltrated Oniagshima are bolstered by their comrades war cry from the central hall and the 9 scabbards also recognize that the War has already started.
The red scabbards advance after having annihilated Kanjuro and the guards that he had with him. A Kanjuro collapsed and covered in blood laughs fearlessly.
Kaidou's forces are getting pushed back by the Samurai but are suppressed by the strength of the Calamities and the Samurai along with Yamato are blown away by Kaidou's Boro's breath (Kaidou has transformed into his full zoan form).
Kaidou's subordinates go into a frenzy saying that their sheer numbers never really mattered in the first place. From one end of wano country to the end of the onigashima all it takes is just a boro's breath from Kaidou-sama. If that demon then brings his three clubs along with him, there is no entity in this world that can rival him. (Note: I can't really make sense of this atm, will prolly need more time to process it ^^", so if any one can do a better translation, please go ahead)
Luffy appears and then attacks Kaidou with a "Giganto Ryuou (King) Axe" Attack and then sends Kaidou flying into the ground.
