Powers & Abilities Is this first time Sanji clearly using so called hardening on panel?

I don't think Sanji has hardening. Think about it Oda had Luffy and Zoro say they were using hardened haki back in Dressrosa and on the way to FMI but he never wrote Sanji saying it even though he is the one that needs the verbal confirmation the most.

And having armament haki doesn't equal hardening remember Law cut through Vergo without hardening his sword.

Luffy said Koka once and never again. Zoro never said it.

The “black hardening” is just an artistic style. Doesn’t mean anything.

Luffy hits Caesar with regular haki and hurts him. Caesars says "That hurt." He is bleeding. That's still not enough damage so Luffy uses Hardening. He says Hardening. His fists only turn black when he uses hardening. Caesar sees his blackened fists and reacts to this with fear because he knows it would hurt more.

These 4 pages are right after each other. This should not be hard to understand for anyone.

I had to look it up and you're right about Zoro.

The black haki isn't an artistic style. It's literally used for offence and defense and Sanji has never used it once even to protect himself where it would be clearly visible.

It’s an artistic style. Luffys G5 doesn’t even always have the black coloring despite Kaido seeing the attack and claiming it’s coated with armament.

Its just an artistic style

Hardening hardly means shit anymore so no point in gatekeeping it tbh
It never meant shit. It literally just makes your skin or your sword harder. It lets you block more effectively or hit a little harder. That's all it ever did.

Tell me why Kaido knew Luffys hands were coated with CoA when they were still white or shut up.
because regular CoA is invisible, but people good enough at CoO can probably still see it. Only Hardening is black and visible to everyone with the naked eye. Read the manga.

“Can probably still see it” hardening is literally not visible to everyone or Rayleighs scene where he removes the collar wouldn’t have changed between showing it pre and post skip lmao

It’s literally an artistic style chill out

it changed because oda decided to show a close-up. the old scene didn't have a close-up. you didn't see hardening in sabaody because his fucking hand wasn't in the panel at all.

It changed because Oda decided to add the black coloring lmao you think all these characters who didn’t even know haki existed just watched this man’s hands go black and didn’t say anything

:seriously:

Hardening is the basic use of CoA.
