From this:

To now this:

Hara showed us Riboku saying that Qin’s path to unification has been destroyed, only for Shouheikun to pull the dream back from the ashes. This comes to us after this flashback:

Where Shouheikun actually agreed with Riboku that unification was no longer possible. But it was thanks to Sei’s words of encouragement, and seven days of isolation on the brink of suicide, that Shouheikun was able to level up as a strategist and pull the dream of unification back up from the grave.

It was only because of Sei’s superb leadership that this was possible:

In my opinion, Hara is showing Sei’s ability as a leader (the best in China) here. Sei is a leader of such a caliber that he is capable of raising people up to entirely new levels of ability. We saw this at Coalition when Sei took an army of women and children and turned them into a fighting force that held out for eight days against the elites from the other states, and we are seeing the same thing now as Sei took, let’s be honest, an inferior strategist to Riboku and transformed him into someone who now executed a strategy outside of Riboku’s predictions.

And outside of Gyou, this is really the only time we’ve seen Shouheikun perform something outside of Riboku’s expectations.

IMO if you are going to give a character an intangible powerup, this is exactly the way to do it. Shouheikun was on the brink of suicide for seven days straight, and he came out of that experience shocking all of China with something none of the other states nor Riboku saw coming.

This is also the first time in my opinion that Karin has actually gotten some real hype since Sei’s coronation, as she knew immediately that Shouheikun pulled some fuckery with the family registry.

From this, I think the Karin investors’ stocks are looking very very solid at the moment.

We also are already seeing Shouheikun outperform Han’s Chief of military:

This guy served as Chief of the Han military for a long time according to Rakuakan. And I’m not going to post the entirety of chapter 806 to this thread but I really got the impression from that chapter that Chou is either a strategist equal to or above Rakuakan.

And yet, they were still completely outplayed by the Tou/Shouheikun maneuver of the fake 100k, and deceived into giving up Nanyou without a fight.

I really hope Hara continues Han as a battle of the minds and makes that battle a satisfying one. I want to see what the “wisest state” is actually capable of when it comes to the mind games.

Shk is probably on par with RBK and Ousen when it comes to strategy.

It's just that unlike them he's not on the battlefield so we need to see how he would be able to adapt to tactics displayed by his potential opponents.

I think that what he is trying to achieve is harder than what RBK is achieving right now.

Idk about ranking him this high.

Creating Three Pillars Plan wouldn't be needed in the first place if he did a better job in prievious campaigns and prevented huge losses in Zhao invasions.

In the current campaign he also simply delegates tasks and hopes his underlings will figure something out. Creating a strategy for conquest of Han and stoping Wei and Zhao from intervention should be his job and yet he simply does the bare minimum.
