Do you think JJK will have the same lasting effect as DBZ, and Naruto. With people still discussing it and theorizing about it, even years after it ends? Or do you think it will be more like One Punch Man, which had a mammoth raise in popularity with its anime only to fall off.

It's legacy probably won't last very long unfortunately. Seasons 3 and 4 will be bangers since there's more than enough source material to be stoked about but that's about it.

Demon Slayer’s ending isn’t as remotely controversial.

I think it’ll age well because of nostalgia because it’s an otherwise, at worst, decent cookie cutter story with a likeable cast.

JJK is going to be on the receiving end of a lot of resentment.

The domain expansion meme has legs on it, and the Sukuna v. Gojo could bleed in different powerscaling scenarios.
From a narrative pov, I think JJK would've been more memorable if indeed Sukuna would've come out triumphant of the gauntlet, or if this wet-fart epilogue is revealed to have been a dream/domain illusion.

Demon Slayer definitely got wonkier with later revelations, but that's mostly a matter of taste.

It was a consistently entertaining story with a likeable cast. That counts for a lot.
