All three of them were stomped out too kind of hard for them to come back, isn't it? At least as Captains.

They might show up again later... but without a ship or a crew they're just going to end up playing some supporting role if anything at all.

The difference here is Barto. He knows he wasn't really in the pirate king race. He can just regroup and continue supporting Luffy.

But you are right about the ship thing. A ship holds a lot of significance for a captain. Getting defeated and your ship fully destroyed by another pirate is the hardest L you could ever take

There are a few things to consider, first Oda is a notorious fake tension merchant, second there is at least a slight difference in the description ("Barto ship was destroyed""the polar tang was destroyed""this day the Kid pirates were destroyed") and that could mean nothing as it could mean everything (it again depends on Oda and so it is uncertain). Still if I had to bet who is gonna come out worse then that for sure is the Kidd pirates. Then, knowing Oda, it could very well be they will come out all alive and be back to their old antics like nothing happened.

It's been clear that it was Oda's plan from the very beginning that Luffy's rivals are actually the other three current Yonko; Shanks, Teach, and Buggy.
