Zoro started his fight with Lucci using koh or overflow or whatever you want to call it. That’s not how zoro usually starts fights because he’s aware of how exhausting the form can be. He only did it to try and end the fight as quickly as possible. The same way luffy was using g4/5 off the bat to end shit as quickly as possible and escape

Crocodile in Alabasta was a character who hasn’t been hit or had to fight in two decades. Even then, Oda had to nerf him by taking away his reason for fighting and changing his personality for Luffy to win the third round.
