Gun control down here only serves to let people be completely defenseless in face of violent criminals.

Its not only about Latin America. Its about citizens right of self defense and insurrectional power. Even in places like Japan there are killers. The victim is always the first responder.

what about banning knives not only outside but in our homes?
Knives are necessary to live and cook, guns are not. Fallacious comparison.

If you want to stop organized crime, the solution is not to bring more violence to the fight, but erease the reasons why there is a fight in the first place.

Think outside the box fluffy

My fluffy you're not answering my question. There is no need to repeat your last posts again, I already read them and they lack understanding of the actual problems at hand. And since you seem to hold the opinion that banning things willy nilly is not a problem–what about banning knives not only outside but in our homes? What about banning all work utensils and criminalizing manual work, home cooking, gardening etc? Let's force the people to pay specialized companies for such mundane tasks because allowing them to own utensils is too dangerous because they are dumb and potential criminals& murderers. Don't tell me you don't see where this is heading fluffy. Come on :lawsigh:

In.all honesty, I hate what the likes of you have done to the word freedom.

This.

Oh yes. And their rival gang members.

Oh boy you have never been 'ore correct about anything.

No because the police ARE the gangsters. Police and politicians also profit from the drug trade.
They do. These are narco states down here.

Why is it the police and army have guns then? For public safety. What about personal defense? They ain't body guards. Citizens have a human right of self defense too, moron.

Science says yes.
In reality, there is no correlation to more or less gun contributing to crime. Guns don't go floating around killing people. Where there is organized crime, there will be more gun deaths. It is as simple as that. Gun control only stops people from defending themselves.

Not once the government decides that cooking is illegal without a special license and a seperate permit. We're not in the middle ages after all, nobody has to get their hands dirty with food anymore. Let the professionals and the industry handle such affairs!

This works in the early stages. Not at the current stage where literal criminal parallel societies exist and organized crime owns large amounts of military grade weaponry and is more internationally connected than ever before.

The police arrive after the crime has already happened+they don't personally care about you because it's only a job+nobody in their right mind wants to become a victim of crime

Goodness this song is terrible :milaugh:

Because the capitalist system doesn't know how to handle social crisis other than with force.

No. Through structural and material change.

In reality, there is no correlation to more or less gun contributing to crime.

Can you be reasonnable please ? You know full well what problem cause guns. You are trolling here.

It work at every stages. It will just be harder now

Why are you quoting this again? It's not relevant to the current discussion.

I am extrapolating to point out the dangers of indiscriminate bans of everything in everyday life.
It work at every stages. It will just be harder now
My God :lawsigh: will you leave your fluffy lil bubble for once? The love and peace approach works for youth prevention programmes and small time criminals, not with hardened gangsters, those will only exploit the system.

Fluffy, will you ever get off your high ass horse for duck's sake? It's so cringe at this point, I'm feeling second hand embarrassment from reading your condescending, arrogant posts with that holier than thou attitude, overuse of Latin-based words and authoritative statements. You're not anybody's parent or teacher here. Holy hell
That's nice, Solis.

You are the guy at 2:17 trying to talk things out.
You made that "joke" probably because you think I'm talking in a liberal and individualistic way.

The materialist vision of the problem is structural, it has nothing to do with individual behaviors or situation, it has to do with changing the system and the material conditions that push those people to behave that way and that prevent society to stop them.

You are playing a game of Tic-tac-toe when I'm playing 3D chest

2. The number of war related death caused by capitalist wars between 1914-1992 has been estimated around 150 MILLIONS.
Capitalism us responsible for innumerable modern genocides in the 21 century alone, capitalism threatens the survival of ecosystems and by extension the survival of the human race.

We are talking about guns. A powerfull weapon. It's fallacious to compare this with a knife ban.
well they wanted to lower the legal knive length from 12 cm to 6cm length here, after a bunch of attacks with 20 and 30 cm long knives which makes no sense whatsoever but banning things gives off the illusion that problems are being tackled I guess.

That's the words of someone who doesn't want to try.
You grossly misunderstood me.

I didn't make a joke. That is literally you. Trying to have a dialogue with a rabid human being that is out to kill people. Like Solis said, that doesn't work on hardened criminals, but it does work on the youth.
@AL sama I will pipe down on the insults. That emoji is just so tempting to use lol

...and i'm talking about the here and now. Latin America is plagued with gang violence and organized crime. Look up what is going in El Salvador and how Bukele solved the organized crime problem. He called the police and army and arrested them all. Other nations should do the same, but the communists obviously want things to stay as they are cause oppresing people by letting criminals loose is one of the tatics of the left. Read Stalin.
