I’ve noticed that a lot of people who’re really pro Palestine tend to glorify Hamas as a resistance movement.
But it really does seem to me that this organization sold out its own people. Like it’s leaders weren’t even in Gaza and were living lavish lives abroad, all while starting wars that killed thousands of their own.
they also call themselves a “nation of martyrs” and operate in civilian areas knowing full well they’re going to get innocent people killed.

From my understanding, Israel doesn’t want anything to do with Gaza. They pulled out and are only occupying it from the outside because Hamas is a hostile power.
As opposed to the West Bank, which Israel is actively trying to colonize.
Honestly feel like Gaza has the greatest potential of being a Palestinian state if their leadership wasn’t shit.

Israel wants everything about Gaza. Israel is a colonialist state. The purpose of sionists is too take over gaza which could become a fundamental commercial city in the region... under Israel's power. I've seen some people already making plan about the future infrastructure of the city. It's all about creating a bigger country.
This is the propaganda of Israel. You can't hide a resistance group such as Hamas in an open aera. In those aera, it's a necessity for the resistance to hide close to valuable ressources. Israel is doing absolutely the same things with it's command centers.
Hamas is complicated. It is, by nature a resistant group. You could say that this resistance group acts in part as a terrorist group as well (both are true). The problem is that there is no alternative, it's either an armed radicalized resistance or no resistance at all.
And I'm sorry, but you can't ask Palestinian youngsters to just seat down and watch as their people are systematically oppressed and genocided.
We need to condamn the atrocities of Hamas, just like we need to condamn the atrocities of IDF but we can't take the resistance nature of this movement from them. If we do that, resistance will never be possible anywhere on the planet.

Well, what would you do if you people was in this situation ? Colonized more and more, ejected from their homes, tortured everyday, raped, systematically oppressed, closed off from the world, park like animal... wouldn't you try to resist in the armed group nearby ?
Or would you wait for nothing to happen, no job, no future, no dreams, nothing ?
The war crimes of october 7th were horrible and indeed didn't help the Palestinian. The resistance on the other hand keeps the fire going. Palestinian won"t stop fighting and we need to support them.
So instead of blaming the group that is currently nearly extinct, the best thing to do right now is to target our critics to the one in power : Israel.

But It’s likely that bitterness over the nakba and their numerous losses, and let’s be honest antisemitism as well, all prevent them from doing this. There’s also the issue of Israel’s crimes in the West Bank, but again Hamas’s “resistance” not only helps the West Bank Palestinians, it literally makes their condition worst.

And Israel definitely is to blame for a lot of the bloodshed. But I think Iran and it’s proxies also play a significant role too.
like the current war in Gaza and Lebanon are a direct response to Iran backed terrorist orgs.
