Sure, the Marines are always interesting.
Right?! Oda really cooks when writing the Marines and that new clip of the 2 Marine Brothers in the Fan Letter special episode was brilliant, even though it was very difficult to watch on an emotional level too!
The Marines are definitely always interesting too, even non-canon content like Adventures of Nebulandia (with that fantastic vice admiral Komei and his unique use of CoA we've yet to see in canon), the legendary G8 filler arc with VA Johnathan the genius strategist ofc and the GOAT Condoriano himself naturally AND then the absolutely AMAZING Film Z with the magnificient, badass, tragic hero turned villain in Zephyr ofc!
Oda really loves the Marines as much as he loves pirates and it shows so much! The Admirals and Garp are overwhelming proof of that too but even Koby, Smoker, Tashigi, Drake and such ofc!
One Piece wouldn't be half as good without the Marines imo, at least half as good! They are amazing antagonists but also so nuanced and not entirely the enemy/evil/antagonists and can be the heroes too ofc!
God rest T-Bone too, he died a freaking hero. I still want to believe he's not actually dead and his corpse-like appearance will serve as a Brook type gag to reveal he was alive all along and they thought he was dead OR better yet, like someone suggested somewhere, he fakes his own death using his corpse-like appearance and selfless, sacrificial type personality (very samurai/knight-like guy too) and he lets the civilians claim his bounty whilst he pretends to be dead ofc!
T-Bone in the future hopefully:
Also I am missing Issho so much, when is Oda finally gonna remember him and let us see him again finally!? Even though Issho can't see us or anyone ofc!
