If I recall correctly, there's a Zaitochi(Fujitora's model) episode that had Zaitochi staying in a village for a bit, and defended it from attackers. His actions got him deemed a criminal and hunted.
Oda really likes using stuff from those movies. Even for Kizaru and Akainu, their relationship is based off a brotherly bond their actors played in a movie together.
Fujitora the War Criminal is like Kuma the Tyrant. It’s just propaganda/a false rumor. The WG will throw any and every evil title and the people who oppose their agenda.
Notice how he's dropping and grabbing swords left and right. I don't know why sword guys are so against GB having a black blade at all. He could've easily killed a guy and yonked it from him lol
Meanwhile in name and actuality, DF merchant, can't fight, doesn't have anything remotely similar to a black blade nor does he belong in any conversation to make one.

Thats exactly what drives me mad! Imagine the hype of killing a black blade user?! And Mihawk and Ryuuma are really the only black blade users to ever exist? If Ryuumas sword can stay a black blade and thus intact for centuries, why not other black blades or weapons too? Maybe someone else made a black blade in all these centuries?
People just really dont want him to have a black blade, even if he didnt manifest/forge one and just stole or found it or even inherited or w/e.

Now we found out as a child he carried a wooden club. I was told it was impossible for a character that has a DF they allow him to create wood to have a wooden sword.
