News Oda's 10 Q&A

#84
It being a CG bounty doesn't really matter

It's about portrayal

His portrayal in terms of bounty now puts him in the same ballpark as Whitebeard and Roger

I'm not necessarily saying he's as strong as they are but Oda didn't put emphasis on other pirates not passing the 5 bil mark for no reason
The portrayal is the guy who went toe to toe with Akainu is Blackbeard's subordinate.

The Marines are the most powerful organization in the world. They way surpass 1 Yonko's crew. Kaido commands King and Queen. Akainu commands Kizaru, Greenbull and Fujitora.

What does Kuzan being Blackbeard's subordinate have to do with anything?

Buggy had subordinates that were stronger than him

A subordinate being weaker than the Captain isn't a set rule lol

Akainu with 5 billion from CG is on par with Roger/WB with their 5 billion pirate bounty.
But Admirals with 3 billion from CG are = Yonko with 4 billion pirate bounty and not Kidd/Law with their 3 billions ...

Whether Akainu is actually worth 5 billion or not will be shown once Aokiji, his near equal's pirate bounty is revealed.

Keep in mind Akainu's not just getting this from strength alone. He's the leader of the ENTIRE navy iirc. Kuzan isn't like that.
