imo that statement just talks abt his talent / potential in the long run
shanks can replicate kamusari , but what type of attack is kamusari here ? is it necessary to be a king attack ?

this is my speculation but i think that moment happened in this panel

- roger congratulating shanks and giving him his hat
- shanks also has his sword , it looks like he just used it and thats the moment buggy recognized his potential

so maybe he used kamusari which made all roger pirates acknowledge his potential

to me this is similar to how gon has been portrayed in hxh
gon has more nen than many skilled hunters at a young age but he isnt above them

- this also describes his relationship with mihawk
mihawk thought shanks was someone who can surpass him thus he had multiple duels with him
but shanks sacrificed his full potential by losing an arm

thus mihawk was no longer interested in him and he set his eyes on zoro


tho i laugh at people who think shanks was commander level when he met luffy

It says "All Roger Pirates".
You're the one assuming that it doesn't include everyone such as Roger himself, Oden & everyone who got Killed right after Roger's Execution.

But it could also be interpreted that ALL the Roger PIrates who tried to copy Kamusari failed to do it beside Shanks
Gaban doesn't even use a sword for instance, so that's already one Roger Pirates who never tried to copy the move

Indeed this is insane gas but lets talk about what it might actually was:
1. Shanks is 15 years old (pretty young but still a pirate for 14-15 years, he grew up on the ship) if we take that all RPs watched him do it.
2. Hard to see 15 year old having ACoC, most likely it was not ACoC but only ACoA (Oden to Scabbards) which is pretty impressive in itself. Having ACoC means you are one of the very strongest, no way 15 year Shanks was that strong.
3. Very hard to imagine that it was something that Rayleigh could not do, we know he has ID and ACoC so doing something like Kamusari should not be a problem for him.

To add context this is a Shanks who has spent his whole life being a pirate with the strongest pirates. He had Roger, Rayleigh as teachers and even Oden for some time. Even if they were not training him like Garp still he could learn alot from observation.

Compare this Shanks to Luffy and Zoro and he actually has shown more skill than those two but then those two didnt have the chance of being around the strongest. No way the 1 bil bounty Shanks was a YC1 tier char, he was like in his late 20s, I expect him to have ACoC by that time.

Great indirect hype for both BB and Mihawk.

It doesn't necessarily mean that they tried to copy it, but it suggests that they agreed that it's not copyable,
This isn't a De-Hype for them, it simply means that Kamusari is a Secret Technique that Shanks was able to figure out how to do

Similar to when Sai finally copied Chinjao's Signature Attack, by finally figuring out how to use his Hasshoken to it's True Potential.
Same thing here, it doesn't mean that Shanks Haki is Superior than Rayleigh or those older than him, They can both use Adv. CoC but Shanks figured out how to use his Haki exactly like Roger did

That's why He was called a "Genius".
Or think of it like Rokushiki's Secret 7th Technique, it doesn't mean only Lucci can use Rokushiki, but He is such a Genius that learned a Technique that others couldn't wrap their heads around

The original comment from oda sounds to me like none of the roger pirates could emulate. Meaning they couldn't even achieve their own version of it, which is true so far. WHich would include all and at the minimum Rayleigh who is a sworduser

No one could copy it without instruction

That doesn't mean Rayleigh couldn't learn it. He simply needed Roger to teach him how to do it. It likely involves a special application of ACoC

We've seen different geniuses in battle at play here. Goofy being able to learn ACoC just by getting hit with it, Zoro being able to learn Firefox style by watching Kinemon, Sanji learning Sky Walk on his own, Law learning Cora's DF on his own

It's impressive for Shanks but it's getting overblown
