It will damage him for sure because that is literal free shot for Luffy. No matter what G4 is strong in that sense and he was weared down by seastones so dodging is he can do. And from panel it looked like he can sense the attack which tells us that he has good CoO.

You're really comparing Pre-Udon Luffy to Current Elbaf Luffy? He's tronger than the one that was acknowledged as being able to go "toe-to-toe" with Kaido.

I could see Zoro pulling a Zaraki Kenpachi and allowing Shilliew to stab him so he can know where he is hiding and counter. I would rather he developed future sight imo, but its one way to defeat him.

That's not how it goes because this is not some romantic soap opera drama. All I think is that this may be a foreshadowing to trigger or change Luffy is what I am thinking. But can't put past the theory of yours. 🥶
