Something about it makes me feel like it's "worse" than all the Isekais I'm watching. Though as I can't put my finger on it, it might be just my impression.
As far as Isekais goes, I've recently added Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions to my favourite Isekais. It's damn good.
Are you here trying to tell me that Arifureta is worse than the aristocrat appraisal one?
I can 100% agree that Arifureta is far from a top tier isekai, but it is frankly insulting to say it's worse than aristocrat.
But eh, whatever, I've already made my opinion clear on that series so whatever.
And yeah, Grimgar is such a vibe, it is such a great shame that it never continued, it was one of the Isekai GOATs.
Though for me Eminence in Shadow is the undisputed best Isekai without anything even coming close.
Mushoku Tensei is probably #2
Gotta check that one out, thanks for the heads up!
Also it's not technically an isekai, but I highly reccomend checking out the series called "Zipang"
I've had difficulties finding it on any streaming sites before, so you might have to download it from something like Nyaa(.)si
But short synopsis: The Japanese Navy sends out a battle ship for a routine mission, but somehow the ship where our protaonist is aboard slips through time and are faced with a plethora of moral and ethical dilemmas due to the reality they're plunged into.
And also, just for an extra layer of motivation, take a listen to this OST:
I recommend it. It's romance of the year fr if you're into that. It got animation quality on par with those popular battle shounen. MC is not bland like in The Dangers in My Heart or Makeine and has a set goal tied to Sports. Not much inner monologues/indecisions like in The Dangers in My Heart or Kimi ni Todoke which, if I'm being honest, bores me.
It's the best of the 4 better ones this year imo.
I'll give it a fair shot!
If you like sports or romance or both, then you will most likely enjoy it.
It's a very wholesome and very beautiful series.
I've never been a sports anime fan, however Haikyuu is one of my all time favorites, and is more or less the only sports anime I've watched - excluding Blue Lock which is anime's version of Shaolin Soccer
Anyway, I'll check it out
