Current Events One Piece completion in risk: It needs Togashi-like Hiatus

#3
From my memory, authors that write series spanning decades often end up failing to complete.
  • Wheel of Time
  • Game of Thrones
  • HxH
  • Berserk
I hope OP won’t be added to the list, but it tbh is a serious possibility.
Berserk was a fatality. Togashi has health problems. GRRM got greedy and stopped focusing on a song of ice and fire. Don't know what wheel of time is.

WoT was left in good hands, though.

I'm not following Berserk but I heard similar about it.

Wheel of Time was a fantasy series by Robert Jordan

He died before he finished it and the last 3-4 chapters were finished by Brandon Sanderson of the Mistborn and Stormlight Archive fame

He needs a really long hiatus and quite frankly someone that's not an ass-licker having a real talk with him.

With all due respect: Anyone can see that the quality of the story has declined and it more often than not seems like Oda is just going through the motions, milking the cash cow without much passion or new ideas.

Literally every arc structure is a carbon copy of what we've already seen a dozen times and the SHs outside of Luffy have become completely lifeless extras and/or mascots after the timeskip.

Recently Oda couldn't even hide it from most of the delusional fans anymore, since those countless drawing and consistency errors in a completely unnecessary Lego sideplot were just too much.

Heck, it was so bad that almost everyone thought it was Loki's ability or some hallucination, when it was just a royal fuck-up from Oda.

Diabetes , High BP are worst thing to happen I think it’s time Oda to look after his health . Go monthly with OP and finish the story as soon possible .

If this is truly Oda's illness, then he should try ozempic. No joke.
Isn’t Ozempic for Obesity ?

These are common though now. Just need to have a better lifestyle hoenstly idk if oda actually is spending too much time one piece. Atleast compared to early days if he is spending majority of his time in one piece then he should just ditch it because what he is doing is not worth at all..his work is not some sort of super master piece to justify him spending all his time...especially that its the most popular/important work for the publishers...he could have as many assistants as possible too....and he has to do is work on few templates and art.
I don't think he should spend more than 30 hours per week for this manga given the quality of work vs resources available.

He either is spending his time probably on one piece only but not for the manga chapters itself..... or is actually addicted to some host club :kayneshrug:

Turns out Oda not really too well right now, I dont know, but this industry actually pressures too much the mangakas and editors. Release schedules with as much hiatus as possible are needed tbh

This doesn't really tell the reason for this week break though just old information..

This if anyone actually gives a shit about Oda, they would encourage him to stop drawing One Piece.

But nobody who is „concerned“ about his health cares about Oda.

They just want him to draw 300 chapters or so, to satisfy their stupid needs..
